What we use today

The current first-party application does not set advertising or analytics HTTP cookies. We may store preferences in your browser’s local storage (not HTTP cookies):

• Colour theme — qdi-theme (light or dark)
• Site region — qdi-region (Canada & US or Europe), so legal and contact routing match your choice

Region can also be set with ?region=ca or ?region=eu. We do not force region by geo-IP alone.

Hosting / CDN (production scan 29 August 2026)

A production HTTP scan of the apex and www (via Cloudflare) and the origin host found no Set-Cookie headers on HTML responses for /, /cookies/ and /contact/. Cloudflare may still send operational response headers (for example cf-ray, NEL / Report-To) that are not cookies.

If a future challenge, cache or WAF feature sets a strictly necessary technical cookie, we will update this notice.

Third-party resources

Pages load typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). That is a third-party network request for fonts — not a first-party advertising cookie. We do not load analytics or marketing tags in v1.

What we do not use (v1)

No third-party advertising cookies, no analytics tags, and no consent-management banner that would imply non-essential trackers exist — unless those tags are added later and this notice (and any required consent UI) is updated first.
